pipe
We use only sch 40 PVC pipe in all of our installations. Other pipes will work but they are much more prone to failure. Sch 40 will stand up to years of reliable operation. Connecting each head to the pipe is a 12' piece of funny pipe. The funny pipe is flexible allowing it to give. If a vehicle drives on your sprinkler head the head won't break the pipe or fitting connecting the head to the pipe.
